Dr. Roy Miller has more than 30 years of experience in the development and commercialization of high technology systems and products. His career began at NASA working with rocket engines, and later developing space borne instruments for conducting x-Ray astronomy at American Science and Engineering Inc. As a Senior Manager at Polaroid Corporation, he led the development of a number of state-of-the-art imaging products, and was a founder and COO of Polaroid's Medical Imaging Systems Division. Dr. Miller was Vice President, Global Marketing and Strategic Planning for Sterling Diagnostic Imaging, a $500 million company manufacturing and marketing medical diagnostic imaging systems worldwide. He held a similar position with CombiMartix Corporation, a biotechnology start-up company developing bioarrays for genomics and proteomics. He was the first Director of the University of Massachusetts' new Advanced Technology and Manufacturing Center. Dr. Miller is a founder and/or board member of a number of companies in such diverse areas as; web based diagnostic imaging, computer graphics enhancement, subsystems for semiconductor device manufacturing, and software for regulatory compliance. He earned technical degrees from Northeastern University, Case Western Reserve University, and the Ohio State University, and has completed business programs at Cornell's Johnson School and Dartmouth's Tuck School.
